18th Inter-House Sports Meet 2012
Lodge's Inter-House Athletics Championship Meet was held on Sunday, 19th February 2012 at the stadium, SMK Tabuan Jaya. The four competing Houses were -Blue, Green, Red and Purple. Apart from the competing Houses, the uniform groups –Red Crescent, St John Ambulance, Scouts and International Award Club participated in the Match Past as well. The stadium was packed to capacity by parents and guests supporting the annual event.
In the opening address by the Director of the school, Mr Chang Foh Soon, he praised the staff and students for the strenuous weeks of preparation and hard training and wished all athletics to have a good time vying for the friendly championship, and the spectators to enjoy the day.
Mr Gabriel Teo, the Chairman of the Board of Committee in his speech reiterated the athletics to challenge themselves to achieve their personal best and to inculcate the spirit of leadership and teamwork under fair play. Along the sideline, he also urged parents and students to uphold the good reputation of the School and that the Board of Committee is very approachable to listen to grievances. To the athletics, he wished 'the best man wins, the best house wins ' and declared the Meet open.
The Sports Meet saw 82 respectively events (52 Track and 30 Field events) running simultaneously in their lanes and pits, which by late afternoon, culminated in the following overall results:
Champion House: Purple House
1st Runner-up: Blue House
2nd Runner-Up: Yellow House
3rd Runner-Up: Red House
